| | | Book recommendations on Rhetoric?
I was looking at the GTPS catalog and saw that their MDiv program includes a class on logic and another on rhetoric. I've not had any formal coursework in either of those topics so I was thinking about reading a book on each. Though I would imagine there would be some overlap.
There was a thread a while back that talked about books on logic and I ended up with a candidate list of ...
Copi & Cohen, Introduction to Logic (8th ed.)
Morris Engel, With Good Reason (2nd ed.)
Anthony C. Grayling, An Introduction to Philosophical Logic
Harry Gensler, Introduction to Logic
Of those Harry Gensler's Introduction to Logic is the one I'm leaning towards getting.
I'm hoping to see a similar discussion develop here regarding books on rhetoric.
Also, does anyone know what textbooks GTPS is using for their Rhetoric course?
