I've got 'em both. I've only read a little from the book of essays, but not enough to comment really . . .

I read it about a year ago while reading his Dogmatics. It is a very good companion to his four-volume work, especially the prolegomena. His essay "Primacy of the Intellect or the Will" is one of the most helpful short works on the often confused topic. I would like to go back to these essays now that I understand his theological works more, i.e. after reading his Dogmatics. They are a bit pricey given how short the book is, but it is the same type of cover as the Dogmatics so would look nice on the shelf together.
