Is B.B Warfield any good?

???????????????

I need some recommendations. I only know of the popular Theologians.

Berkhof, Augustine, Edwards, Calvin, Luther, and I want to expand my reading lists. Can you guys give me some help here. I see a B.B Warfield collection on Christianbooks going for $45.

Get it.

List of contents here:

The volumes on scripture and the westminster assembly are worth the price of admission alone.

Warfield is an Old Princeton professor. One of my professors has commented that Warfield had more learnin' in the tip of his pinky finger than any of us (in the class) would probably have in our lives.

"It is part of the calling of the ekklesia to learn to know the love of Christ that surpasses all knowledge and also to make known within the world of science 'the manifold wisdom of God' in order that the final end of theology, as of all things, may be that the name of the Lord is glorified. Theology and dogmatics, too, exist for the Lord's sake." — Herman Bavinck, Reformed Dogmatics, vol. 1, p. 46

Warfeild is great except for his views on creation. Everything else is great stuff.
