I have not read the entire book, but the sections that I have referred to in the past have helped me greatly. When I read your post, I removed the volume from my bookcase and found 4 different bookmarks stuck in it. Boyce was greatly influenced by Charles Hodge, according to his bio. Anyway, I personally find this book to be deep and satisfying.

Read it this summer. Great book. Worth getting. And you can get it cheap from Founders Press.
