One of the gifts I got for Christmas was a $20 gift card for Borders. I am looking for suggestions of what to buy. The book doesn't have to be theological in nature. I'll take suggestions for good histories, novels, scientific books, etc. And if the book is slightly more than $20, that's ok too.

So, basically, what I'm asking is: If you had this gift card, what would you buy?

Currently I am trying to add to my church history collection. A recent purchase included The Church in History by B. K. Kuiper and The Story of Christianity, One-Volume Edition by Justo L. Gonzalez (Kuiper I finished and am half-way through Gonzalez).

I am also having lots of online discussions with some Catholics and resently bought Sola Scriptura edited by Don Kistler and The Shape of Sola Scriptura by Keith Mathison (both are around 50%+ read).

For mindless entertainment I confess I like historical and science fiction.

Actually I need to stop buying books and catch up on all the ones I've bought over the years - we estimate we have around 5,000+ books in our house of which too many have not been read yet.
