I was told by a coworker that if I posted this pic of myself in the office no one would guess it was me.
Well, I did and so far everyone knew it was me.
Would you?

How absurd a tenet is this, which holdeth that there is some particular worship of God allowed, and not commanded? What new light is this which maketh all our divines to have been in the mist, who have acknowledged no worship of God, but that which God hath commanded? Ya know, that'd be kind of a fun thread. Old pictures of us vs. us now. Times are a changin' man!

No,you wouldn`t know me.I only wrestled several matches.I thought I was pretty good.Of course I had to be the "bad guy" which was fun.I got out after Christ took hold of me.Mainly because it is such a utterly sick buisness.I am not exagerating when I say this.I have never seen so much nastiness anywhere close to what I have seen in prowrestling.
I went by the name "Joe Capone"
I went through some training by a guy named "Motley Cruz" and most of my training came from a guy named "Steel".

I know what you mean!!!!! And it's refreshing to talk to someone who can understand. I still struggle with leaving at times because I know I was good, especially on the mic. I could talk and talk and talk and crowds loved to hear me even though they hated what I said!I got out after Christ took hold of me.Mainly because it is such a utterly sick buisness.I am not exagerating when I say this.I have never seen so much nastiness anywhere close to what I have seen in prowrestling.
At the time I left, TNA wanted to see a video of me! Man, that was tough walking away at that point.
But it is over all a very ungodly sport/activity even though there are some within it that claim Christ as Lord.

I`m sure you experienced hearing people who could use the F word four times in one sentence.Wrestlers curse more than anybody I have ever heard.Even the women. The wrestler Motley`s wife was also a trainer for me and she had the filthiest mouth.Even when I was lost I though it was sick.Originally posted by houseparent

TNA huh?Hehehehe my friend Jerrad wrestled a preliminary match last year against AJ Styles. He recently got to wresle Eddie Guerrero too.I think in a way it is cool and all but even if Jerrad makes it it will still be rough. There is no money in wrestling. There is no insurance. It is very cuthroat also. The guys who make it 99 percent of the time stepped on somebody to get where they are,and continously step on others to keep their positions. If they don`t it is because they kill themselves every time they wrestle.Mick Foley is a good example of that.He didn`t make it in wrestling because of being a cuthroat or a great technical wresler. He made it because he killed himself wrestling.I really wonder what type of shape he will be in in 10 years?Oh and look what example he left. He`s a nice guy but I would put some blame on him of why "Backyard Wrestling" is so popular with teens today. He left the example of hurting your body to entertain themselves.
Okay about my friend Jerrad. We had our first match against each other. He was only 14 at the time.He is 18 and has wrestled for four years now and already is sore all the time.He has a couple of bulging disks in his back already.First and foremost I pray for his soul. He`s as lost as can be.I have evanglized to him before and he actually did listen in a way but his heart didn`t.I pray that the Lord would open His true eyes and ears to Christ.I pray it is not at the expense of paralyzation.

You hit the nail right on the head there Joe!There is no money in wrestling. There is no insurance. It is very cuthroat also. The guys who make it 99 percent of the time stepped on somebody to get where they are,and continously step on others to keep their positions. If they don`t it is because they kill themselves every time they wrestle.
Dibiase runs a "Christian Wrestling" group where many old timers profess Christ. Some inside the business though say it's a gimmick to keep getting paid! I am not and would not say that, but many do.

I've not seen Dibiase questioned or doubted, but many who join him are. Wayne Ferris will insist that many who work for him are not Christians and if you know him well enough, he will tell you how he supposedly know that.
That's my whole issue. I am not certain it's possible to display a Christian life style within that business.
