| | | Who's the rocket scientist that decided to make Chicago a major international hub? I was boarding my flight from Tokyo to Chicago about 14 hours ago and commented to another Marine that I hate flying into Chicago because there are always delays.
Sure enough, after a 11 hour flight we were held in a pattern above Chicago because the weather was preventing a landing. We landed 35 minutes later. Long flight make such delays difficult because you sort of psyche yourself up to the time you think you're going to land. But having Robertson's Christ of the Covenants helped pass the time.
I got through Immigration really fast because they have a military line but then it took a long time for my bags to come out. They finally did and I thought: "Cool, I'll have time to get some coffee and wait for 30 mins for my flight."
My flight to Washington/Reagan was cancelled.
The good news is that I'll still be getting to D.C. tonight but now it will be 2 hours late.
I hate flying into Chicago. |

| | | Rich,
You forgot to make your graft payment when booking your flight. Had you done so you would be on your way to Reagan National right now. |

| | | I hate Chicago too. Flights to Mexico are always delayed coming out of there, so whether you're going yourself or picking someone up at the airport, you can count on a lot of wasted time. |

| | I thought Wernher von Braun was the rocket scientist. He had something to do with it...

| | Well, Rich, you probably had time to come visit us! We're the same distance from Midway as we are from O'Hare. Less than 45 mins from either airport and you reach the comfort of our apartment.

"It is part of the calling of the ekklesia to learn to know the love of Christ that surpasses all knowledge and also to make known within the world of science 'the manifold wisdom of God' in order that the final end of theology, as of all things, may be that the name of the Lord is glorified. Theology and dogmatics, too, exist for the Lord's sake." — Herman Bavinck, Reformed Dogmatics, vol. 1, p. 46
