| | Rich. I hear 40 is the new 30; but I've seen folks say 50 is the new 30, so does that mean you get to turn thirty three times?

It always begins by skulking, and assuming a disguise. Its advocates, when together, boast of great improvements, and congratulate one another on having gone greatly beyond the ‘old dead orthodoxy,’ and on having left behind many of its antiquated errors: but when taxed with deviations from the received faith, they complain of the unreasonableness of their accusers, as they ‘differ from it only in words.’ This has been the standing course of errorists ever since the apostolic age. Samuel Miller, Introductory essay, The Articles of the Synod of Dort (1841).

| | | Thanks everyone! Sonya took me out to dinner tonight with the kids and there were a bunch of people from the Church there. Had a good birthday today.
It was nice to be able to run 6 miles today and be healthy.
It was sort of funny getting a bunch of "you're old" gag gifts tonight because I don't feel any different or really much care that I'm 40 now. The only cool thing is that I get to enter a new number in the elliptical trainer and it might be easier now to stay within my target heart rate on exercise machines. |
