Vbs

We're in the midst of our third VBS since I've been pastoring Oak Grove. We didn't have one for the first three years I pastored there, but we have had one the past three years.

The first two were a great source of blessing for our church and it also continued to water the seed that has been planted into our children's hearts.

Anyway, the theme of our VBS this year is sports. So, everyone is dressing up in jerseys, sports shirts etc. I told everyone this year that if we had 40 people (kids and adults combined) on just one night of VBS I would go out and buy a UT Vols jersey and wear it. Even though I live in TN I was born in OH, so I'm a Buckeye fan and I am not really fond of UT. Everyone in my church gives me a hard time about not liking UT, so I thought this would be fun.

Sure enough, the first night we had 39 there. We had 23 kids and 16 adults for the first hour. Then 2 more people showed up and we had 41 for the night. So now I have to wear a UT jersey. Ugghhhh!!! Talk about offensive!!!!

Seriously, please pray for our last night tonight. God's word is having an effect on our children's hearts.
