stimulus check if I filed late?

Hey all,

I applied for an extension for filing my taxes because I lost my W-2, so I just filed them about a month ago. My federal and state returns have come in, but I'm wondering whether I'll still get a stimulus check. Anyone know whether I should expect one, and if so, when?

Q. I filed after April 15 and the payment date for my Social Security number has passed. How long will it take for me to get my stimulus payment?

A. It will generally take a minimum of six weeks after you file your return to get your stimulus payment.
Just what I needed. Thanks!

Read: It will generally take a minimum of six weeks (a maximum to never) after you file your return to get back only a small portion of what should have never been institutionally stolen from you in the first place. Thank you for your compliance.

What is a 'stimulus' check? Does it give you an electric shock or is it the government trying to dress up a tax return as something more than repayment of a debt?

Sorta. It's a jolting reminder that we're not as free as they tell us we are! (But in the end, we're on the winning side, Psalm 2)

It's the US Govt's official acknowledgement that it considers cash returned from on high to be similar to methamphetamine.

It wants to reduce the withdrawal symptoms temporarily.

If I spend my stimulus check in a foreign country, I guess that goes against the President's stated goal of his refund. It stimulates someone's economy, just not the USA's.

I am filing right now....late as usual.... had to get my form scanned as a PDF and faxed to me, then I had to print it here, sign it, rescan it , and now am re-emailing it back to the US.

I need a way to do banking without signing my signature. The mail here is too unreliable and they always ask me for special "processing fees" - plus, they ate my candy last month and tore apart a care box.
