I really like the way the Book of Psalms is laid out in the ESV's Personal Size Reference Bible (single column per page). To me, it really facilitates the reading of them (as it does the Bible as a whole).

I sent an email to R. L. Allen Bibles (in Glasgow, Scotland) who, as many here know, makes the best and sturdiest Bibles on the planet (since 1863). I've asked them if it's possible to extract the Book of Psalms from the Personal Size Reference Bible textblock, put one of their magnificant leather or goatskin bindings on it, and publish it as a separate volume. That is something I would love to have.

I'll let you know what their answer is.

The answer came today by email: no can do.

Apparently, to extract the psalms from the textblock for separate binding would ruin the textblock for any other use. Makes sense...
