Pearls Before Breakfast (2)

As a follow-up to this thread,

Pearls Before Breakfast

Gene Weingarten of the Washington Post received a Pulitzer Prize (feature reporting) today for his piece entitled "Pearls Before Breakfast," a story on violinist Joshua Bell playing in the subway.

Oooooo......we saw him playing with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra a few months ago - a fantastic experience!!! No wonder he is termed a "super star"!!

ANd...if you eat pork ausage for breakfast the name of the thread could be "Pearls before swine."

That article made me sad. I hope I might have been one who stopped to listen, but who can say for sure? And perhaps even worse, I have never even heard of Joshua Bell. The music was beautiful.

All this proves is that people don't like to be bothered on their way to work.

After all, people go to subways and train stations - not to loiter- but to go somewhere.

No other conclusions can be proved.
