Muslim, Mormon, JW, atheist, Buddhist, Hindu, it's all the same since it's not Christianity. The heathen will always out number the Christians...Christ guaranteed it!

I suppose that's a slow reversal of the general trend for the last 5 centuries, with Christians growing in numbers and power and riches and Muslims going the other way. Except that Muslims are still poor and have little influence.
It's important to keep in mind that in poor, backwards areas populations can't increase without lots of water for irrigation, so the big numbers won't be found in the Mideast, but rather Pakistan, India, Indonesia etc.. I've heard talk of Arab Muslim interest in developing potentially rich agricultural land in the Sudan etc...but it hasn't amounted to anything yet. Afghanistan has water but only a short growing season, which explains a certain pretty blue flower which they harvest the sap from. Iran has the money and technology to build huge canal systems which would make them a food exporting country, but several factors hinder this e.g. the fact that half of Iranians hate Persians.
In short, viewing Muslims in a monolithic way would be like predicting Swedish political developments by studying Uruguay, and I suppose one should keep that in mind.

Actually Ken, Kandahar has for centuries been the world wide epicenter for homosexuality. In Pushtoon culture a man gains status by having a boy lover. Any attempt to look at Muslims monolithically will cause you to make false assumptions.

I wonder what the attraction is. I have always wondered how someone would sign on to that when you can't get many a Christian to show up once a week to worship.

Richard, in addition to the obvious fact that they tend to be more Biblical when it comes to the number of kids then Christians, in some cases pride is involved. In SA some of the poorer Christians from the Coloured ethnic group convert since most Coloureds are binge drinkers and suffer poor health. They see Muslims, who don't drink, healthier and having more money as better, and naturally the Muslims see the same thing. But it's really not many. Most are due to do natural child bearing, and naturally it's much more than religion; as with poor people from largely agrarian cultures they just have more kids.

Most of these Muslims are nominal and practice folk islam.
Plus, many of today's wars are muslims killing muslims.
Finally, as communications become more global and Islam becomes more fanatic, more and more will flee Islam.
Their high numbers are due to conquest and a high birth rate. Many are turning to Christ.
All the more reason to send missionaries in greater numbers to the Muslim world.

Disgusting culture. And they look down on us Westerners for our immorality!!

To paraphrase the (questionable) movie 300, "1 out of 4? Great odds for any Christian." Quote:

"Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few."
