Migratory patterns and movement of cultures

Origin of races and map of migratory patterns

I am fascinated by how man got to where he is now.

From Africa to New Guinea to Australia there are blacks, but not largely in India (though a small Vietnamese group of black people exist).

In Cambodia and Malaysia and Indonesia there are Malays, Polynesians and Hawaiians look a little alike, and so forth.

Australians, white, have a distinct look from Irish, also white.

I would love to see if there is a book or map of how these ancient (and modern) peoples moved and intermixed to form the peoples of today.

There is a group of light skinned people along the silk road, for instance, that are descendants of a group of Alexander the Great’s army. And the Inuits (eskimos) look quite Asian. Where did all these people migrate from?

I am part Ulster Scot. But where did the Scots come from? From the Anglo Saxons? Where did they come from? How far can we trace it back?

Any books that tell this sweeping tale?
