Kidney Stone 1, Redbeard 0

Yesterday marked my first battle with a kidney stone. I must say..."ouch"! I thank God for the skill he gives physicians and the proper use of pain relieving medications.

The doc told me that women describe it as a pain similar to childbirth. Now, I wouldn't go that far after seeing my own wife in labor. But, I definitely salute the brave men and women who have so courageously faced such a worthy adversary.

I am now home, waiting for my next battle, seeing as the CT scan only showed a 1/3 of progress through the ureter tube. The only good news? I am under orders to drink beer! (Don't worry brothers, sobriety is still the order of the day; mostly water)

Been there, done that...

mine didn't move, had to be surgically removed. I'll spare the details, but I've instructed my wife to use one of my own weapons on me, should I ever get another one!

I hope that you get it along...try hoppy beer!
