| | | Jacaranda Trees The jacarandas are blooming, as they do twice a year. My residential street is lined on both sides with them. I think they're lovely, even if they do make a mess when those violet/purple leaves fall. The intensity of the color is just amazing.
And our God is creative. Did you know that there are more than 40 different varieties of jacaranda trees?

| | | I have one in front of my house, lasted for 6 days before most of the petals fell off.
A few petals are left on the tree.
The mess extends to both my neighbors houses.
They have another kind of tree.

| | We've got them in full bloom everywhere right now. What a beautiful tree, and it's fun to hear my four-year old try to say the name.
Jacarandas in bloom is one of the few signs of a season change that we get here. That, along with all the snow birds going home.

| | | I have three at my house and both Pasadena and Alhambra have many Jacaranda lined streets. We also have some on our retirement community campus. I LOVE the Jacaranda. You cannot look at the explosion of color without waxing doxological. My midwest kids are never here when they bloom (and were already adults before we moved to this area) and cannot imagine the incredible beauty that we witness every May and June. Our God is prodigal in the extravagance of his creativity and providence.
