HELP Finding a "Quenstedt" Book

Hello friends,

I connection with a ThM course I am taking in January I need to read the greats Lutheran theologian, Johann Andreas Quenstedt, The Nature and Character of Theology, trans. Luther Poellet (St. Louis: Concordia, 1986).

Does anyone have this and is willing to sell it? Does anyone know of anyone that may have it and is willing to sell it?

I ask because CPH no longer prints the book and I cannot find it anywhere on the net.

You should ask your professor why he is requiring a read of a book that is unobtainable.

Danny -- I still have not come across the title you are seeking. I gather it is a translation of the first three chapters of Quenstedt's Theologia didactico-polemica sive systema theologicum. However, if you are interested, Luther Poellot's 1999 translation of Quenstedt's The Church (Theologica Didactico-Polemica, Part IV, Chapter XV: De ecclesia) is available for purchase ($12.00) here.

Hi Andrew,

Well, I am in Grand Rapids right now taking my course on Lutheran Orthodoxy . . . .Dr. Kolb received permission of Concordia Publishing to copy it for use of the class.

Thanks for looking. Not even Jay Collier, editor of Reformation Heritage Books can find a copy!

Danny
