| | | Happy Birthday Bill Brown (North Jersey Baptist)!
47 years old! I think you're the same age as R. Scott Clark. Thanks for noting it on my Commissioning thread. Now I'll always remember your birthday.
Too bad you weren't feeling well last night. I could have had one of those obnoxious Happy Birthday singing troupes come to our table for dinner.
Hope you have a great birthday!

| My family is up to no good. I heard whispers in the kitchen and then, "Honey, how about we go out to dinner tonight?" I know what that means. Applebees or TGIF with those obnoxious singers. |

Hey, as an operatically trained singer, who used to work at Cracker Barrel and sing Happy Birthday 5 or 6 times per day on some days, I take exception to the "obnoxious troupe" comment. Okay, not really, since most of those singing can't sing. Happy birthday, Bill!

Happy Birthday Bill! My wife's birthday is Monday--the 19th--also 47.
1961 was a good year indeed.
I read just the other day that 2006 was the year that finally eclipsed 1961 in births in the U.S.
ATLANTA (AP) - Bucking the trend in many other wealthy industrialized nations, the United States seems to be experiencing a baby boomlet, reporting the largest number of children born in 45 years.
The nearly 4.3 million births in 2006 were mostly due to a bigger population, especially a growing number of Hispanics. That group accounted for nearly one-quarter of all U.S. births. But non-Hispanic white women and other racial and ethnic groups were having more babies, too. An Associated Press review of birth numbers dating to 1909 found the total number of U.S. births was the highest since 1961, near the end of the baby boom. An examination of global data also shows that the United States has a higher fertility rate than every country in continental Europe, as well as Australia, Canada and Japan. Fertility levels in those countries have been lower than the U.S. rate for several years, although some are on the rise, most notably in France.

Happy Birthday, Bill! I don't know. With your foot problems, the slippers might be just about right. At least you could laugh a bit.

Happy Birthday, Bill!
Say, if you don't want those slippers, then you can send them to me! (It's a Presbyterian thing) ;-)
Blessings and I hope your foot is feeling better,
Rob Wieland
