Thread: "God could not love us less" solution

OK, I finally got through to the minister of the local PCUSA church to ask what was up with the weird sign...

"God could not love us less."

Does everyone remember all the various theories we came up with to explain this sign?

OK. Want the explanation? You ready to LAUGH?!?!

Turns out, it was a TYPO!! Yes, indeed-y, folks....

It was a 2 part sign - the first week said: "God could not love us more" and the second week was supposed to say "God WOULD not love us less"...however the custodian forgot to change the "C" to a "W"...

So, in the spirit of Emily Litella (remember her from SNL - Gilda Radner) let me just say, "never mind."

Frozen Chosen, we could make a feature film about this board. We could call it "Overanalyze This"...I was still laughing 10 minutes after getting off the phone with the guy!!!

I know - it's hilarious, isn't it? Here we all are, trying to ascertain what the deep theological meaning is, when all the time, the "deep meaning" is that the custodian doesn't like to wear his reading glasses while posting the signs!!

AND (I didn't mention this before) the minister told me when I called that they had gotten several calls, mostly from church members (at GPWPC) saying, "HUH?" So it got changed almost immediately...I just happened to drive by on the "wrong day".

I guess the two signs together are lines from a Michael Card song...not that that means anything to me...

Exactly! (Although technically I think the PCUSA is short of WAY MORE than just a nail...)

I'm for it, as long as Paul Manata and Josh "The Pharisee" Hicks fight somewhere in it. And Paul has to do some kind of presuppositional analysis of the board, or whatever.

And Fred must wield the ConfessionHammer.
