Howdy, John. I'm glad someone is here who can keep tabs on Fred. I'll bet he's a handful.

| | | Checking up on you?
Thanks, Fred. You couldn't really accuse me of checking up on you since I haven't logged on here since 8-15. Cant really call me a lurker, can you? -----Added 9/16/2009 at 11:06:00 EST-----
Thanks for all the kind words of welcome from all. I am blessed to work with Fred and glad I don't have to keep an eye on him My history is--- recovering legalist and antinomian, was saved in my junior year at VA Tech, spent 28 years on staff with the Navigators (Philippines, California, Argentina and SC), went to CIU joined the PCA and have pastored for the last 14 years (Kingstree SC and Katy, TX). My wife, Mary, and I have 3 grown daughters and 2 grandkids. No. 3 is due in November. Right now I am enjoying preaching in Psalms and the parables of Jesus, whenever Fred needs a break (which isn't very often.)

Hey, Do you know Tom Perkin's or Bernie Vanosdall. They are Nav Staff. Tom was staff in Virgia Beach when I was in the Navy so many years ago. Early 80's We were part of the DelMarVA gang. I actually met the guy who did the DFD's here in Indiana at a Presbyterian Church. His name slips me now.
Welcome to the PB.

Welcome to the PB. | I know Tom (one of the naturally funniest guys I have ever known). I remember Bernie's name too. I once visited the VA Beach Navs in the summer of 1982 with my family. Small world!

I was most likely there during that time. Depends on when you visited. In late 82 I was out to Sea on the Forrestal. Bernie was an F-4 Pilot in my squadron then. So if I was gone he was also. My RPCNA Pastor Roy Blackwood was friends with Leroy Eim's. He learned some of the Discipleship principles the Nav's taught from Leroy. Tom, just took a sabbatical. Bernie is in Okinawa, Japan as Nav Staff.
Tom has a web site now. Perkins, Tom and Ann - The Navigators He just got it.
I can't remember, what was Jim's last name that was head of the Virginia area for the Navigators?
