Salvete

Hello!

(Forgive the Latin in the title, but it's been more than a year since I've gotten to study it, so I relish its use when I can.)

My name is Jen. I'm (perpetually, it seems) a student. I graduated a year and a-half ago from university, went straight into a one-year Biblical Studies program at The Master's College (where I learned very quickly that there is a difference between a Reformed Baptist and a dispensational predestinarian Baptist, for lack of a better descriptor), and am now in between things -- I've been accepted to Westminster California for the Fall but am taking a few classes from RTS in my off semester (Greek, Theological Foundations, and Systematic Theology II: Ecclesiology and Sacraments), which is lovely for filling in the holes that were left behind since TMC isn't a Reformed school.

I'm always on the lookout for Reformed resources on the Internet, so I look forward to reading what you all have to say.

The Regulative Principle: Samuel Miller gives a succinct statement of this principle when he writes that since the Scriptures are the “only infallible rule of faith and practice, no rite or ceremony ought to have a place in the public worship of God, which is not warranted in Scripture, either by direct precept or example, or by good and sufficient inference.”

Hi Jennifer and welcome to the board.

You wouldn't happen to know the Busbys (who now live in Redding), would you?

to the board.

And you're correct. There is a difference between a Reformed Baptist and a Calvinistic Baptist.

Not meaning to be pedantic but it would actually be:

χάρις soi, καὶ εἰρήνη ἀπὸ θεοῦ πατρὸς ἡμῶν καὶ κυρίου Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ

unless Jennifer had multiple personalities disorder.
