| | | 'Nother lurker sayin "Hi!"
Heya everyone!
My name is Rob - I have been lurking around here for a LONG time now trying to learn as much as I can. I decided that I want to come "out in the open" and say hello to everyone - so, "Hello!"
Also, I have questions to ask (I like to learn). But I didn't want my first post to be nothing but questions
I am pretty new to the Calvinism/Sovereignty of God/Reformed theology stuff - so I am sure I have some bad doctrine and inconsistant theology that needs to be dealt with. I come from the Calvary Chapel camp, so if you know anything about them you understand I have some pretty typical "Modern Evangelical" baggage. Not that they're horrible people or anything - I am just coming to realize that it's usually shallow teaching at best.
I am here to learn - that means I have questions.... lots of em! I hope I don't annoy people !
Take care,
Rob

Hey Rob,Welcome!it's nice to meet you here, there are alot of former calvary Folks here (myself included) and that's ok,there's another brother here who worships at Calvary Sante Fe he's also new and we come to find out that based on his testimony and their mission statement that they sound Calvinistic, amazing huh, well we will see,it's nice to see that God has placed you in a good reformed church though,it must have been tough for you to sit under the teaching at Calvary when you knew the truth. He will keep us posted and I will paste the link for his intro from last week, what a neat story and I'm sure you have many good things God has done and will do in your life and we look forward to hanging out here with you and hopefully reading your posts be blessed my brother!! New to the forums, Calvary Chapel Guy!
In Christ

Hi Rob, I appreciate your articulate introduction. I wouldn't worry about annoying people by asking questions. Around here that's more like throwing raw meat to a lion.

Welcome Rob!
I, too, went to Calvary Chapel for 20 years of my life. And we were actually known as the Calvinist Calvary (at the time). Yet we still had many issues. I'm just glad the Lord brought me to a reformed church, and a reformed way of thinking.
