| | | My name is Jakob.
Hello all, my name is Jakob.
I was previously on another "Christian" forum, which was overrun with Catholics eventually, atheists, agnostics, hindu's, and people that started speaking heresy of God not being perfect, and that the Bible is wrong.
I am sure you all can understand why I would leave such a forum.
I realize that online community postings such as forums are a large part of my joy in speaking, learning, and sharing Christ so I decided to not again go to a forum simply labeled as "Christian" and have people of all sorts of denominations be about (not that there's anything wrong with that), but rather come to a forum where I can gather together with like minded believers who will not call me a heretic for believing in the five solas.
That being said, I would like to introduce myself to you all.
My name is Jakob (with a 'K'), I am sixteen years old (seventeen in a few weeks), I grew up in a church and in a Christian family although I became a regenerated Christian some point in January. For God's benefit, my time spent growing up in church taught me a lot of doctrine which has been of profound use to me since my conversion and I have seen been consumed with theology, church doctrine, apologetics, commentaries, systematic theology books, and things of the sort.
I am a highly reformed 4.5 Calvinist, siding with Pastor Mark Driscoll on the idea of a limited-unlimited atonement speaking that Christ's death was sufficient for all, but it is only efficient for God's chosen, prordained, justified, glorified, reconciled, ill deserving, elect sinners.
As I mentioned before I believe in all five solas tenaciously and happily and will defend them Biblically where I can.
I am currently under mentorship and training to be a pastor. I am going to be attending Boyce Reformed Theological Baptist College in 2010 to obtain a major in Biblical and Theological studies and later a minor in expository preaching and pastoral ministries/leadership.
I will from that point, Lord willing, attend Southern University to obtain my Mdiv, and then plant a church wherever God calls me to, and from that point, strive to make disciples preaching a true Gospel not lacking anything as so many due today.
My favorite pastors both alive and dead are Mark Driscoll, John Piper, John Calvin, Charles Haddon Spurgeon, I like some of John MacArthur although I am seeing we have quite a few disagreements regarding verses.
I just moved to Missouri after having been born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin my entire life and I will be attending college next year as I said earlier.
I am six-foot-three and I weigh approximately 240lb. I played football in high school, I was home schooled for my high school and Jr. high education which afforded me opportunity for a quicker graduation. Because I am not eighteen yet I will be attending community college this year to get my prerequisites done faster.
My denomination is almost essentially impossible to pin point so I remain as a non-denominational reformed Christian. I take concepts from baptist, presbyterian, and Lutheran theology primarily. If I had to choose a denomination I would be presbyterian but there are a few issues regarding them I do not personally agree with, such as their infant baptism idea. If you believe that, that is perfectly okay, that is your prerogative, I simply just do not see baptism in the same way as you do.
On that note, I was recently baptized as a born again Christian on June 24th so praise be to God regarding that.
I do not know much more what I can say about myself. I am not legalistic in any way of the sort, I hate division and I am a sinner seeking humility by the grace of God.
I'll just post a link to a picture of me so you can get a better idea of me, what I look like, and possibly who I am. http://photos-d.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos..._6099703_n.jpg
If you notice I have Calvin on the cover, that is my commentary on Romans.

You have no idea, on facebook it says Ja kob and people go "Ja cob" and I will sometimes say, "really? I don't know this Jacob fellow."
I mean seriously? Especially online.
"Hi, I'm Jakob."
"Hi Jacob."
"wat."

Greetings! As far as where to post, each forum has a quick description at the top giving more detail than the title alone, and just lurking/reading a little while will help you sort it out. After you have more posts, several new fora will appear as well.

Jake, choose the best forum for your question and, if they disagree, one of the mods will move it someplace a bit more appropriate. No prison time.
(Well, they put Theognome in prison for a bit but he'd been here longer and caused more trouble)
