My first day on the Board

I found the Puritan Board a while back through a search and I wanted to post a comment on some issue. But, by the time my membership got approved this morning, I didn't remember what that issue was anymore. I'm a member now, though, and happy to be here.

I have a bachelor's degree in Christian Ed from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and I went to graduate school at the University of Central Florida. I am an ethicist and political scientist, but after leaving a professorship, found myself teaching biology and earth science at a magnet school.

I have been married for 10 years and my wife Jennifer and I have a 9-month old daughter named Charlotte Moon; we named her after a missionary (http://www.brucesabin.com/charlotte_moon.html).

I guess that's all for now.

My wife and I have only been camping together once, but I've been a few more times on recent motorcycle trips (plus the old Boy Scout days). The avatar is cropped from a drawing my wife commissioned for me as a gift for our 10th anniversary (May 25, 2008). You can read the story on the artist's blog: Organized Doodles: Home Sweet Dome - Well, Maybe Not

Just to clarify on the delay. I finally took pity on some people who had been awaiting e-mail confirmation. You have a Yahoo e-mail address and it blocks our system messages that send you a confirmation link to verify your e-mail address.

I mass approved/denied about 40 people over the past few days including a number that had registered as far back as December.

I've fixed the system so the e-mail confirmation is up front and a person will know that our system cannot e-mail them so they can select an e-mail address that will work.

Either way, welcome aboard and I hope you enjoy your time here.
