Mr. Lofton,

Welcome to the board!

I remember years ago when you used to have your "Our Man In Washington" column in the Chalcedon Report, and I would always go to it first thing. You would begin by writing about and quoting some liberal or misguided evangelical, and then you would eventually start a new paragraph saying "so, I decided to pick up the phone and call Mr. _____ and ask him a few questions." I would always laugh, because I knew what was coming next!

I will never forget the time you appeared as the Christian opposition on The Phil Donahue Show back in Spring 1991. You were on stage with all of those nude gay people, and it was literally you against the entire, hostile, gay audience. I really didn't think that they were going to let you out of that studio alive. It was really a scary thing to watch, and to this day I have admired your courage and testimony to the Lord on that show.

Again, welcome.

I meant seriously. From the accounts I've heard, the Constitution Party is almost non-existent.

John,

You probably do not remember, but...

I met you a few times back in the mid 90's when I was working for HP at the old TP/CP. We had lunch a few times & gave me a (nearly) complete set of the works of RJR!

Thanks!

Welcome John. I used to watch you on a local TV station that had a "point-counterpoint" format. 'Course I was a liberal unbeliever back then (early '90s), but now sincerely appreciate you and Mr. Peroutka
