Introduction

Hello everyone,

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this site! I have lurked for a while but decided to take the plunge and join last night. I grew up in the flagship PCA church, Briarwood Presbyterian, in Birmingham, AL. I moved to New York in 2005 and am now with Redeemer Presbyterian (PCA). These two churches are at opposite ends of the spectrum in terms of style, demographics, and political inclinations, but you won't find two finer, more important and influential reformed churches, which underscores the great diversity we find within the Kingdom.

Once again, thank you for the opportunity to be a part of the community, and I am excited to learn from and converse with all of you!

Respectfully yours,
Mason

This may explain the old adage about Baptists being Methodists with shoes, and Presbyterians being Baptists who can read. To round out the adage, Lutherans might qualify as Presbyterians who drink to excess, and Episcopalians as Lutherans who know when to say when. - D.G. Hart

Mason,

Glad to have you join!

You'll be happy to know that Redeemer has supported the overthrow of the Nor-Cal PCA presbytery for some time. Their prodigy, City Church, left the PCA for the RCA, because we wouldn't allow the mama-elders.

Cheers,

Adam

to the board. I loved Briarwood Presby. I use to attend there when I visited my Sister while she attended UAB.
