It always begins by skulking, and assuming a disguise. Its advocates, when together, boast of great improvements, and congratulate one another on having gone greatly beyond the ‘old dead orthodoxy,’ and on having left behind many of its antiquated errors: but when taxed with deviations from the received faith, they complain of the unreasonableness of their accusers, as they ‘differ from it only in words.’ This has been the standing course of errorists ever since the apostolic age. Samuel Miller, Introductory essay, The Articles of the Synod of Dort (1841).

| | Welcome to the Puritan Board!
I perused your website, and it is an excellent resource indeed. You may wish to review the PB links manager or the recently-launched Puritan Library at Monergism, both of which have much overlap with the materials at your site. Links and Downloads Manager - The PuritanBoard PURITANLIBRARY.COM
I was particularly glad to find the Protestant Dissenters' Catechism at your site in light of my previous efforts to find it. Thank you! http://www.puritanboard.com/f29/samu...techism-17910/

Andrew, the reason why there are similarities between my website and the Puritan Library at Monergism is because they copied the links from my website to works at Google and The Archives .. but thankfully not all! So my website has far more pdf works and I shall continue to add other works as I come across them.
I did come across the Matthew Poole Project website a few months ago - very ambitious project and I wish you every blessing with the project, especially the translation of the Synopsis Criticorum.
Palmer's work is indeed excellent - I only wish it were more widely known.
Blessings to ALL who have responded. |
