I am no longer Richard B. Davis.

I don't know if this belongs here so if it's out of place I don't care if it is deleted, moved or whatever.

After thinking about it I have chosen to change my name for a variety of reasons, namely I am not a Molinist.

My new handle is a good one in my view. Bernard Marx is the main character in Aldous Huxley's "Brave New World." He lives in a time when excesses are embraced and progress is a matter of "consumption." Marx sees people stupifying themselves with pleasures and delights and knows that there must be a better way. This is how I feel about many things. Hopefully I can curb my cynicism enough so I don't repel you all.

I hope you like my new handle.

    Cynicism? What cynicism?

I remember that book only vaguely. The name would have rung a very faint bell, but I don't think I would have remembered it. But you're still Tom to me. Welcome again.

What! I thought that was a picture of Tom, (but I didn't know his name was Tom--I just thought it was Richard).

He looks so life-like, as if it could really be him. Boy was I duped.

He is a faculty member at Tyndale. Do you know him? If you're from Caronport for the reason I think I have a decent idea where you know him from...even that bustling urban megalopolis is only so big.

No, I don't know Richard. I frequent college/seminary sites in Canada (I'm the webmaster at Briercrest) so I recognized the photo.

No, only an Epsilon-Minus Semi-moron who reads.

It is a picture of Richard. I'm looking for a new one...perhaps Trudeau.

How absurd a tenet is this, which holdeth that there is some particular worship of God allowed, and not commanded? What new light is this which maketh all our divines to have been in the mist, who have acknowledged no worship of God, but that which God hath commanded? Who ever heard of commanded and allowed worship?
