Hi, I'm new here. And this is by far the best forum I have ever been on. Out of the ten I think I've been on. I used to be one of those guys that trolled atheist forums and went in guns blazing with all kinds of arguments for God's existence. That was years ago though, now I'm just reading the Bible as much as I can and learning about it from people far smarter than myself. And I found a treasure trove here, that's for sure.
Now that I buttered you up, help me out please. Good fruit, bad fruit
And I really did mean all that stuff. The "buttered up" comment was just a 'lawlz', cause it felt like I was being cheap, so in order to counter that I made a joke. Know what I'm sayin? -----Added 10/1/2009 at 11:32:34 EST-----
Btw, if you troll atheist forums, my bad. <3

hello brother Joseph! I see that you live in Florida. I went to college at PBA and lived in West Palm Beach for a little while. I loved Florida! I saw in your About Me you are considering going to Westminster - which one, WSC or WTS? I was blessed to be accepted to WTS in Philly but it was not in the Lords timing for me to be there now. Anyway, to the PB!

As far as Westminster goes, either WSC or WTS would be fine for me personally. But Seminary is still a couple years away, gotta take care of some stuff on the home-front before I run amok in the big wide world. Thanks for the welcome!

Welcome Joseph,
Consider the debt-free seminary: The North American Reformed Seminary
Excellent academics, pastoral oversight and mentoring, and good times.
Cheers,

Hi Joseph,
A couple of things. I am currently attending RTS Jackson and highly recommend it. If you are considering RTS I would encourage you to attend Jackson, there are some issues at the other campuses.
Also, regarding your question of fruit. It all comes down to motive. The pharisees did good works for selfish motives. Remember, a tree does not enjoy or benefit from it's fruit, others do. The same is true of our fruit, we are already saved so our works are to benefit others and not for ourselves.

I have trolled on the dawkins site. It didn't always feel completely pointless, but it's not fun. The edification on offer consists in growing a thick skin (and one of the worst things is the ever-changing gallery of inspirational portraits at every turn).
You're right, this is much better! Hope you get as much good as I have.
