Okinawabones here, seeking God and trying to understand Him beyond 30-minute Sunday morning sermons and often inconsistent Sunday School curricula. Looking for intelligent (but simply-written), loving dialogue about issues that matter. The desired end state is an increased knowledge of God's character and my part in His plan.
I'm a US Marine, stationed in Okinawa with my wife (Okinawamama) and three of our four kids. Our oldest is stateside at NC State University, and the rest of our extended family is spread out across central and western North Carolina.
We've been here since July 08. We're happy to be here, and we've plugged into a church that has met some of our needs- but we're not sure it's where we're supposed to be. So- here I am. As my dw said in her intro, be gentle- I'm a baby Calvinist in a Baptist's body.
