Talking Hello from Midlothian, VA

Hello!

I am Richard Elliott, husband of Lonnie for 29 years, father of Melissa (23) and Colin (20), owner of Apollo (4) and Tasha (14).

Became a Christian in college and have attended PCA churches for over 30 years since. Especially enjoy studying church history.

And my wife tells me I have cute knees.

Welcome, Richard, fellow Scot and Narnian (although I tend a bit more towards Tolkien myself, as the screen name would indicate.

It is God that multiplies our sorrows....
God, as a righteous Judge, does it, which ought to silence us under all our sorrows; as many as they are, we have deserved them all, and more: nay, God, as a tender Father, does it for our necessary correction, that we may be humbled for sin, and weaned from the world by all our sorrows; and the good we get by them, with the comfort we have under them, will abundantly balance our sorrows, how greatly soever they are multiplied. - Matthew Henry

Thank you'all for the warm welcome.

I must warn you, though, that I do have a quirky sense of humor. Pity my poor wife as my children have inherited it.

Yep, we would steal the Clan Scott's horses, they would hang us, all in good clean, fun.

A grand tradition I hope to uphold
