Ah yes, the final residence of Arthur W. Pink. It is sad that Pink never took the opportunity to call on and meet Kenneth A. MacRae.

Welcome to the board.

Dear David,

Welcome. I have preached on Lewis a few times, Harris too. My favorite place on earth. Your last pastor and I, Rev. David P. Murray are the speakers at a family camp together in Grand Rapids Michigan. Looking forward to getting to know him better. All the best!

When heresy rises in an evangelical body, it is never frank and open. It always begins by skulking, and assuming a disguise. Its advocates, when together, boast of great improvements, and congratulate one another on having gone greatly beyond the ‘old dead orthodoxy,’ and on having left behind many of its antiquated errors: but when taxed with deviations from the received faith, they complain of the unreasonableness of their accusers, as they ‘differ from it only in words.’ This has been the standing course of errorists ever since the apostolic age. Samuel Miller, Introductory essay, The Articles of the Synod of Dort (1841).

Welcome David. My wife and I have a good number of friends originating in Lewis, whom we knew in the Crow Road, Partick FCC congregation in Glagow. I've never been to Lewis myself; but, before our marriage, my wife made trips there with friends when she lived in Glasgow. She often speaks of it fondly. Are you a native Gaelic speaker?
