| | | Hello Hello,
I have been visiting this board for about three years. I finally decided to join after reading ~~Susita~~'s post/thread asking for book recommendations.
I live in snowy Vermont with my parents and siblings.
We are members of a very small congregation of the WPCUS, without a pastor (we were not able to sustain a call to our pastor). There are no congregations in our area which subscribe to the Westminster Standards including the Directory for Public Worship. So for now (since we have no pastor) all of the congregational members are attending Faith Presbyterian Church (PCA) in the mornings and the First Congregational Church (an OPC pastor) in Merrimack, NH for some evenings.

Margaret, were you at the last Free Church of Scotland Continuing Family Conference? I think I remember you from there. Thanks for your encouragement, and I'm glad to hear that your situation is working out.
Hello, Mr. King. Glad to hear you are doing well.
~Jay~ and Mr. Ritchie, thanks for the thanks.

Its advocates, when together, boast of great improvements, and congratulate one another on having gone greatly beyond the ‘old dead orthodoxy,’ and on having left behind many of its antiquated errors: but when taxed with deviations from the received faith, they complain of the unreasonableness of their accusers, as they ‘differ from it only in words.’ This has been the standing course of errorists ever since the apostolic age. | | | Welcome Carolann,
How exciting to have a Vermonter on the Board. I think you might be the third. I was born in Windsor, the birthplace of Vermont and raised in Windsor and Hartland along the Connecticut river. That makes me a true native.
I hope you enjoy your time here. I do pray you find some stability in your church situation. That is frustrating. |

Carolann | Yes, Carolann, my husband and I were there! Did we meet? I thought I'd met almost everyone there! It was a fantastic conference, I thought, and the one this year promises to be likewise. At that time, last August, all we had was a prayerful hope that a preaching station could be established here - and now, just 7 months later, the Lord has certainly blessed us and, we pray, our new minister and his family by bringing them here.
I pray also that His blessings will come to you and to your family in great and abounding measure!!! |

P.S. Our church spent a little over two years searching for a pastor.
