| | | Greetings from WV
It's a pleasure to be able to join the Puritan Board. I've seen many posts through Google Reader and been impressed, entertained and edified by reading them!
I'm a PCA Ruling Elder in Barboursville, WV, and Stated Clerk for Providence Reformed PCA. On behalf of the church, we welcome y'all to visit us (we're just east of Huntington, WV - FMI see Welcome).
My wife Chris and I have 4 sons, age 12 to 25. I'm a wastewater engineer by trade so have always had interest in purification. EPA's nitpicking led to my salvation - there's enough legalism at work, so grace is even more essential personally.
I was raised in a non-observant Jewish home in Brooklyn and by the grace of God was saved in 1984 in St Albans, WV. The ministry of TE Rod Mays and TE Rodney King at Covenant PCA (now of Nitro, WV) helped shape my formative years, and have benefited greatly from TE Jerry Maguire, TE Steve Warhurst , and most recently TE Greg Cook at Providence.
Favorite authors include Terry Johnson, Sinclair Ferguson, Joey Pipa, R.C. Sproul, John Piper. I recommend Steve Schlissel (please don't be mad at me, FV-opposed) you won't agree with all his conclusions but respect his analysis.
Praying for revival in Appalachia and to the end of the earth,
Jim Williams

to the Puritanboard. Nice to have you.
We have been through your area many times when we were living in PA and our son was studying at Rhodes College in Memphis, TN.
Thank you for taking the time to introduce yourself to the rest of us.
