Hi! My name is Lisa, and as my username would suggest, I'm married to Bookmeister, a.k.a., Alan Gielczyk. I'm a contract technical writer/computer trainer when I can get the work, waitress at Sal and Mookie's in Jackson, MS, and a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant, and I homeschool Tate, age 13. We also have three older children--Anthony works for AT&T in St. Louis, Sean is in the Air Force stationed in Montgomery, AL, and Ana is starting her second year of college in Iowa.
At RTS, I welcome new couples moving on-campus, and I help out Children of Abraham, doing the layout for an Arabic Study Bible. I can't read Arabic, and although I have formatted lots of languages I couldn't read over the years, this is definitely the most difficult! But this project is by far the most rewarding I've had the privilege of working on, too.
When I have a little spare time (spare time--what's that?), I read and write. Currently, on the recommendation of another PB member we had the pleasure of meeting in person, I am reading The Rare Jewel of Contentment by Jeremiah Burroughs. I'm on page 38, Alex! And I'm working on an article that I plan to submit to Modern Reformation magazine about how a lay person can learn to judge the spiritual validity of reading Christian books on the market.
I've been told I have the patience of Job, and maybe it's true--this morning was the sixth time I listened to Alan preach on the circuit using his Eph. 1:1 sermon! Having just finished our first of four years at RTS in Jackson, it's great to hear him preach and know that seminary is where he belongs.
Looking forward to getting to know you all and learning more and more every day!
Blessings!

To follow Christ was the best decision God made for me!
