| | Greetings in the Lord!
My name is Lee Dodd. I am 30 years old, married for 12 years, and have 2 beautiful daughters (ages 7 and 8). I have just left a church (non denominational) where I was the Associate Pastor. I felt we could no longer follow the leadership and that our time of ministry was done at the church. I am now looking for a reformed church of some sort and really have been studying along these lines for the past year or so. God has been most gracious to illuminate our minds with a theological foundation which has been missing much of our Christian lives. I am excited about life, exalting Christ, and seeing what the next leg of our race will be like.
P.S. Since we are just now beginning our search for a new church home, anyone have any recommendations on the north side of Houston, TX? We are about 30 miles northeast of Houston in Dayton, TX.

Hello LEE, welcome to PB.
Heres some good (generally speaking good) reformed churches links to help you get started in your search. You might have to settle for a Reformed Church if you can't find a Reformed Baptist in your area. Hope it helps. Reformed: OPC Church Directory PCA Church Directory URCNA Church Directory Reformed Baptist: ARBCA Church Directory

I found an OPC church in Kingwood, Texas, which is about 40 minutes away according to Mapquest.
I checked the PCA directory, and the churches I found in Houston, TX, ranged from 45 minutes (Oaklawn Presbyterian Church) away to a little over an hour (Covenant Presbyterian Church).
Hope that helps!
EDIT - Julio, you beat me to it.

I would say go to Rev. Fred Greco's church in Katy, but Katy may be too far for you.

EDIT - Julio, you beat me to it. | Spring might be a little closer, but it's still going to take about an hour. The Rev. Mr. Greco might have a suggestion when he gets back from General Assembly.

Hi, Shawna. My name is Caroline. Are you new to the forum? Typically, I think people start with an intro post, sort of like the ones you are posting on, but starting like, "Hi, my name is Shawna, and I think Paul Washer is really awesome." And then I say, "Hi, Shawna, welcome to PB! Personally I like listening to Bahnsen. Well, I mean, he's dead, but I still like listening to his recorded lectures." And then other people say stuff. Sort of like that rather than tagging a bunch of intros with a note.
But this forum thing can take a bit of getting used to, and I'm pretty new myself. (I could even be wrong about this, if there's something I'm missing here). Just some gettin' started advice. Welcome!
Edited to add: well, that post disappeared. Now mine just looks silly. LOL
