| | | Greetings from a former Arminian Glad to be a part of the board. It is said that there is no greater defender of Calvinism than a converted Arminian, and I am living proof of that!
Hope to participate in many fruitful, spiritually beneficial discussions.
Unconditional Grace,

Unconditional Grace, | I think it was R.C. Sproul who said that if you think a converted drunk is annoying, try a converted Arminian!

| | Yes. Born into it. Immersed in it's attempted synergy between the Calvinistic and Arminian. Set free from its theology ironically enough by a Cumberland minister who showed me how the roots of the church are not so Arminian as it has become. I went a step further in my studies and fully embraced Calvinism as the true doctrine taught in the scriptures.
I maintain my membership in the Cumberland Church due to family ties, friends in the faith, and the fact that I believe in spite of its flaws there are many fine men and women of faith in the church serving Christ daily.
I see you are in Memphis. The center of all things Cumberland, as the denominational headquarters and seminary, Memphis Theological, are there. You must be familiar with the denomination. Quote:

Welcome brother. Be patient with those brethren,an enjoy and grow with us in here.  Here is an important section of scripture to keep in mind in reference to this ;
[quote] 23But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.
24And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
25In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
26And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
There are many good resources available here on the puritanboard, also on sermonaudio.com.
