| | | Greetings from Cleveland TN
Howdy from Cleveland TN! Just north of Chattanooga, just south of Knoxville and home of the Church of God (don't go there...just don't do it, LOL). Can any of you fine folks recommend a PCA church in the area? I have every kind of Presbyterian known to man except PCA here it seems. I'm picky.
Also, has anyone ever heard of Cumberland Presbyterians? It's my understanding that they eschew presdestination (which means I won't go there either).
I've been a Believer 35 years now. I've watched the Church at Large slide into an apostasy of near apocalyptic proportion, so I am real careful about where I step and where I enter.

Welcome! The Cumberland Presbyterians eschew a whole lot of sound doctrine... not to be recommended.
You ought to be able to find some PCA churches in Chattanooga and a little further south. Are you able to drive that far?

Welcome aboard.
You might want to affix a signature before the Mods bust you. They are really nice about it though.

Cleveland--just up the road from Covenant College!
If you're willing to go to Chattanooga, there is a plethora of PCA churches there.

You can find better PCUSA churches out there...
Chattanooga looks to be about 30 miles away - a lot of good options there.
It looks like the Cleveland church is the only closer PCA option Trinity PCA Cleveland TN Home
There is a smaller one in Sweetwater
140 Starrett Street
Sweetwater, TN 37874 (no web page)
Looks like there are OPC congregations in Cookeville, Chattanooga, and Maryville - not much help; and I didn't spot any ARPs in the area.

Welcome! Cornerstone OPC in Chattanooga would be the closest of the OPC's. I've heard great things about the pastor, Calvin Keller. If you mean what I think you mean about being careful where you step, an OPC is going to be as safe as or safer than your average PCA.

This is the great reason why so many Christians, who will certainly go to heaven—do walk in darkness, and lie down in sorrow." - Thomas Brooks |

There are eight PCA churches in Chattanooga. Churches in other nearby communities can be found on this list, with links to church web sites.

I'll take your advice and won't go to the Church of God in your town. Besides, it is a bit far from my home town
