Greetings from Calgary, Alberta.
I happened upon The Puritan Board via a Google search on a topic, and I look forward to exploring through the site.
I am a 34-year old member of a local PCA church. I have been married for 2 years and my wife and I are expecting our first child.
Five years ago, I would have mocked anyone who suggested that I would become a Christian. I had been raised in a humanistic home and had lived a very atheistic life, wandering far from God. Four years ago, I became a Christian, much to the astonishment of friends and family. I praise God that he can pluck someone as undeserving as me out of the morass at 34, and I thank God for bringing a Christian woman into my life.

That's really exciting to hear that you became a Christian! Maybe sometime you can share more of your story about how God brought you to Himself. I too was an athiest before God saved me, and I still marvel at what God did.

"The Reformation was a time when men went blind, staggering drunk because they had discovered, in the dusty basement of late medievalism, a whole cellar of 1500-year-old, 200 proof grace—a bottle after bottle of pure distillate of Scripture, one sip of which would convince anyone that God saves us single-handedly. The word of the gospel—after all these centuries of trying to lift yourself into heaven by worrying about the perfection of your own bootstraps—suddenly turned out to be a flat announcement that the saved were home-free before they started. Grace was to be drunk neat: no water, no ice, and certainly no ginger ale." – Robert Farrar Capon
