It was indeed an incredible change! I would say that this was caused by the growth of the World Wide Web. The Internet seems particularly well-suited to learning and debate. Just as the Reformation benefited immensely from the advances in the printing industry, so too does Reformed Theology benefit from the growth of the Internet. These are still early days for the popular growth of the Internet (approximately <15years); I hope to see a related corresponding growth in the numbers of Reformed believers.

The change was not easy for the small charismatic church that we were attending, but the Lord used it for our benefit. Through the nineties, the pastor developed an appreciation for Reformed Theology, especially relating to Arminianism and Antinomianism. There were however still a number of "Charismatic" practices that were retained, particularly in the area of worship and revelation. By the time we moved on a few years ago, the Pastor was still having difficulty with Sola Scriptura, and remained deluded about high levels of regular direct personal revelation from God. The change in that church did not go without casualty, as some members were unable to agree with doctrines such as Predestination, and Sovereignty. May the Lord graciously continue in their reformation.

First there was the "Reformation", then there was the "Further Reformation". What are we going to call this?

Martin Holdt pastors the Constantia Park Baptist Church in Pretoria. He is a close friend of my Pastor. This seems to him: Constantia Baptist. He was also a speaker at the Skogheim Conference earlier this year along with Dr Beeke.

I have been told that there is a Reformed Baptist church in Boksburg, probably: Free Grace Baptist Church

Tim, where are you worshipping while in South Africa?
