Glad to be here!

Greetings,

My name is Michael Jewell, long time reader, first time poster. My wife and I live in Denver, Colorado. She's the smart one, an epidemiologist by trade, and I work in law, but seeking a transition into health care administration. While I have a JD and an MPH, I am not currently licensed to practice law.

One of my particular reasons for joining was to meet some of you to bolster my research on theonomy. While not a theonomist, I have an academic research interest in the impact of theonomic thought (complete and incomplete) on the development of American jurisprudence. That is distinct from studying the issue as theonomy per se, and my primary foci are in Colonial America and contemporary resurgences found in evangelical circles who do not consciously embrace theonomy, but neverless propel theonomic thought into the civil and constitutional realms. I welcome any input and new friends who perhaps share this (or a related) interest.

I look forward to meeting and conversing with you all on this wonderful forum.

Thanks!

The Regulative Principle: Samuel Miller gives a succinct statement of this principle when he writes that since the Scriptures are the “only infallible rule of faith and practice, no rite or ceremony ought to have a place in the public worship of God, which is not warranted in Scripture, either by direct precept or example, or by good and sufficient inference.”

Yes, another one to add to the evil army!

Welcome. You'll find plenty here interested in Christianity's impact on early American government. I would be more interested, but my Westlaw access has been revoked for the summer.

Hey, do you know the Anderson's, (i.e., Jack Anderson, and his wife Kim, and there 3 children). They started going to your church about 5 months ago.
Note: He is a theonomist and can provide you some help in giving you some reading material or having you over for dinner or something I'm sure.

Welcome here! We're glad to have you! (In a galaxy far, far away, long ago, I, too, was a member of the EPC... Ward EPC, to be exact...)

We hope you enjoy yourself here, Michael, and we look forward to getting to know you.
