Fixed. Thanks Nikki.
Actually, an older Black gentleman who attends our church has mentioned that he's becoming convinced of Calvinism, and my wife went to Covenant College and met 4 more, so there's actually 23 and 1/2 Black Calvinists in the world now.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I look forward to getting to know all of you (or as many as possible) and growing in my understanding of the Reformed faith.
Mmmm, well at least 200 of the 500 or so members of the Metropolitan Tabernacle in London are black, and they all calvinists too. Plus the numerous pastors and their churches the Tab supports in Nigeria and Ghana.

You needs to revise them figures!!

I know Jonathan. I didn't even count the wives of my own pastor and assistant pastor, Deacon Phil, Derek's wife, Pastor, mother-in-law and a host of other people.

Sometimes being black and reformed, though - it still feels like that (though not as much as of late! Now back in 04 when I first got to PB.... yeah it did....).

Uh, actually, many more than that, just that I know.... I've met at least a dozen more through my own church contacts... And that's just in MI. But you're right: there are not many black Calvinists!

A hearty to you, Henry -- and to anyone else who's joined lately that I might have missed welcoming... I don't mean to overlook welcoming anyone who joins this lovely group!

Enjoy yourselves and be blessed!

Henry, I saw you are new, too, and I wanted to extend a welcome to you! We are originally from Columbia and Hartsville. We have friends in Summerville, but they go to a church that is faaaaar from being reformed, unfortunately. It's good to hear there is a good PCA church there, though!

I'm a PCA Presbyterian from South Carolina, a former lurker, and finally a member. I think that it is wonderful that this board exists! I love the idea of a place where Reformed brothers and sisters can gather together and talk about the LORD, our faith, and also our lives. I look forward to getting to know you all, and also in growing in the Reformed faith.
I noticed you are in Summerville. I lived in Ladson for a year (95-96) while I was stationed at the Naval Weapons station in Goose Creek. It's a beautiful area. I went to the AOG church in Summerville at the time (the one by the freeway, don't know if it's still there...). It was the year before I became Reformed. I'm glad to hear there is a Reformed church there.

Welcome to the Board too!

It's cool that you linked to MS - Redeemer Church used to be where Trinity met - where I first came to the (broadly) reformed faith.
