Brothers and sisters! I've been waiting for this!

Greetings, all!

My name is Henry, and I am a recovered heretic

I'm a PCA Presbyterian from South Carolina, a former lurker, and finally a member. I think that it is wonderful that this board exists! I love the idea of a place where Reformed brothers and sisters can gather together and talk about the LORD, our faith, and also our lives. I look forward to getting to know you all, and also in growing in the Reformed faith.

The Regulative Principle: Samuel Miller gives a succinct statement of this principle when he writes that since the Scriptures are the “only infallible rule of faith and practice, no rite or ceremony ought to have a place in the public worship of God, which is not warranted in Scripture, either by direct precept or example, or by good and sufficient inference.”

Hello Henry! Welcome!

I've been to Church Creek Presbyterian a few times when on travel to South Carolina. What a wonderful church that is! The preaching is reformed and quite Christ centered, and the people are incredibly hospitable. The last time I was there one of the kind older ladies wanted to try and set me up with a nice "southern girl". hehe

Anyway, it's been a couple years since I've been there. The last time I was in Charleston, I actually took the 2 hour drive up to Columbia on Sunday morning, so I could hear Sinclair Fergusen preach at his church (and what a wonderful experience that was!).

Welcome I like the phrase, "A former lurker" Shows that you are a very wise man in that you observe before you participate.
