    Women Pastors and church history

I found this and though it is from a Lutheran perspective it seems quite helping in refuting the notion of women pastors. He gives links to those who support the idea but he is up front that he doesn't endorse them at all just giving a balanced perspective and so one can read the other side.
Women Pastors in the Lutheran Church?

I put this link up for people's edification to refute evangelical feminism, anf thought it might be helpful.

I read this book for school and found it quite helpful. In his segment, Schreiner effectively destroys the arguments of egalitarians in regard to the historical practice of women being in positions of authority within the church. I don't women should have authority over a man but would be best to pastor another woman.

Bill, you see a lot, particularly in Timothy's letters, about women teaching and serving other women, but the idea of an office does not appear to have a scriptural basis.

Quite right. By "positions of authority" I was referring mainly to the office of elder or pastor.
