| | | Hugh Binning Hugh Binning, Scottish Covenanter (1627 -- 1653) was a remarkable minister who died young. He was the author of The Common Principles of the Christian Religion, Clearly Proved, and Singularly Improved; or, a Practical Catechism (a partial commentary on the Westminster Shorter Catechism), A Treatise of Christian Love, The Sinners' Sanctuary and other works.
