A suggested revision to the 1689?

Article here: Founders Ministries: Committed to Historic Baptist Principles | A Suggested Addition to the Second London Confession

Thoughts?

I can see adding an article or a couple of paragraphs. My first thoughts are that it is better not to add such extensive note to so many existing paragraphs, but to make a more concise statement that leaves out unnecessary words and phrases. The Confession isn't a systematic theology, it's a church symbol. Also it creates quite a stylistic gap between parts of the same chapter. If it is given its own chapter I think it should come in the section about the church and the ordinances. Perhaps though a paragraph or two that sets out clearly the duty of missions would fit best at the end of chapter 26 where you have other ecclesiastical duties already mentioned.

The only significant change I would suggest to the London Baptist Confession would be to take out chapters 28-30 and replace them with the Westminster Confession's chapters 27-29.
