Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God.
Has anyone else read Klaas Schilder's book, Christ and Culture? I read it awhile back, but I remember it being quite good. There is a good four-part article on Schilder's life and influence at Banner of Truth (see the links below) as well.
I'm wondering if there are others who have any views on the relatively short book.
Very interesting biography. Noteworthy is that he would speak so presciently and forcefully against the rise of Nazism and did not fall for a pacifist interpretation of Romans 13.

I have read Christ and Culture and other works by Schilder. There are some good insights, but I do think he is limited in his understanding of what culture is.
As for the articles by Geoff Thomas, again there were some good things. But the last article is a bust. Thomas acknowledges that he is limited in that he can't read Dutch. That's definitely a factor, but I think he's also badly misunderstood redemptive-historical preaching in our tradition.
