Someone captured a debate on EP between Rev. Angus Stewart of the Covenant Protestant Reformed Church Ballymena and the Rev. Ivan Foster of the Kilskeery Free Presbyterian Church (Uslter.)

If anyone does watch the debate in its entirety I would like to hear your thoughts.

I have not seen the debate, but I always thought it strange (living in Grand Rapids, MI for 12 years) that ProtRef Churches sing the psalms but are not RPW. They are mere traditionalists when it comes to the church's song book.

While the PRC in Grand Rapids enjoy a fellowship with those in Ulster, they are not the same denomination... this I believe is cleared up as it is brought up in the debate.

This is great starting point for those interested in learning more about the doctrinal position of the mean ol' exclusive Psalmody folk.

Of course I would say the EP side wins hands down. Rev. Angus Stewart does a great job of presenting the basic principles of worship.

Actually, the PRCA is in full communion with the CPRC, as we are officially sister churches. The only differences are those to a certain extent dictated by history and culture. The PRCA, due to its continental (Dutch) roots, is following the Church Order of Dordt. The CPRC is closer to the Presbyterian practices in church polity. Both however subscribe to the 3 forms of unity.

reformed churches generally follow the presbyterian form of church government.
