| Spiritual phenomena
Coming from a pentecostal/arminian background, I've a few questions.
1) I was in a charismatic small group before and sometimes people with the (purportedly) gift of intercession would be invited. Surely enough they told me things about myself that they could not possible know by natural means.
This happened several times, to me and other members of the group. In light of reformed, cessationist theology, how is this to be interpreted?
2) Does cessationism mean that all supernatural phenomena have ceased or just that there are no healers, prophets or apostles anymore? People in my area have been healed, from headaches to cancer. During charismatic prayer meetings.
How is this to be interpreted? Their theology is way off, still things happen.
I only want to know how the members of the PB would approach these issues. I cannot shut my eyes to it and pretend they do not exist, so I'd be interested in some views.
