"The Wading Pool" - Questions from the Newly Reformed Forum where those new to the Reformed faith may ask questions on Reformed doctrine and practice. This is not a place to begin a thread to forward a theological position but is designed to answer questions of those who might be intimidated to start a thread in another forum. Any user may post a question but only elders and those with special permissions may respond.

Sound Theology

Ok so its VERY obvious that a Christian is in need of sound theology, and in this case at least from what I can see reformed theology is the most sound I have encountered, but I was wondering if anyone could further explain to me the exact place of theology? I know its needed to help the believer better understand the word of God and such but what else does it provide? how is it used? what else does it serve in the Christian walk of life?

Romans 1 = Smack to the face about the human condition!
24 O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? 25 I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord!
So then, with the mind I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.
- Romans 7:24-25
